Juggling With Turnips

In 2018 Karl's collection of short comic fiction Juggling With Turnips was published. In an attempt to publicise the book's release Karl reluctantly joined twitter. As of early 2019 he could proudly announce that he had amassed 11k followers - without the k.

He also produced a promotional video on YouTube of him and some embarrassed close family and friends attempting to juggle some turnips. After four weeks the video had minus 34 views.

However, despite these setbacks Juggling With Turnips received some very positive reviews.

"A very funny book - the writing is clever, self-deprecating in a kind of Irish Catholic Woody Allen manner and at times it's as tender as it is riotous." - The Sunday Independent.

"Funny and perfectly constructed..a wild imagination with wit and wisdom on the human condition....if laughs are hard currency the book has more than enough to buy plenty of readers." - The Irish Times

"Hilarious quirky vignettes, with some gloriously comic moments" -The Irish Examiner.

"Comic cuttings from a Myles na gCopaleen - like imagination." - The RTE Guide

"Slightly daft, occasionally touching and often very funny." - The Tuam Herald
