The Irish Times found it 'a hilarious novel', The Irish Independent considered Karl 'Galway's answer to James Joyce' (Karl always thought Nora Barnacle was Galway's answer to James Joyce!) and the inestimable Meath Chronicle found the book 'bawl-out-loud spectacular fun'.
